LCMR is committed to assisting Parents of disabled children in their efforts to obtain a free appropriate public education through the development and implementation of educational programs that are individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each disabled child.  LCMR's services are, likewise, individually tailored and may range from simply a records review to advocacy and representation for a due process or other legal proceeding.  Our first emphasis, however, is on conflict resolution and negotiation, rather than confrontation or legal action.  

School Law

• Disciplinary matters, including suspension or expulsion proceedings.
• Alternative placements, including community schools and internet programs.
• Residency requirements.
• Access to educational records and privacy rights.

As with Special Education, our initial focus, if practical, is usually on problem solving and negotiation, rather than litigation.
